Originally an historic farm and private garden, Bedrock Gardens is now a public garden that features unusual botanical specimens and sculpture by co-founder Jill Nooney. The 37-acre site is home to over a thousand different plant species, an 18th century farmhouse, various gardens, a wildlife pond, two miles of woodland paths, a Japanese tea house, and many structural elements that contribute to the uniqueness of the landscape. They are typically closed during the winter months, so check the website for details on the schedule.

The Currier Museum of Art, located in Manchester, NH, features European and American paintings, decorative arts, photographs and sculpture. The permanent collection includes works by Picasso, Matisse, Monet, O'Keeffe, Calder, John Singer Sargent, Frank Lloyd Wright, Andrew Wyeth, and Sol LeWitt. Special exhibitions provide opportunities to present work by contemporary and/or local artists, as well as take in-depth looks at certain objects or areas of the Museum's collection. Public programs include tours, live classical music and “Family Days” which include activities for all ages. The Museum also offers tours of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Zimmerman House, now listed on the Register of Historic Places (reservations required). There is a museum store on the premises.

The Gardner Museum houses the collection of Isabella Stewart Gardner, a local patron of the arts who died in 1924, in a building she commissioned to look like a 15th century Venetian palazzo. The center of the original building showcases courtyard plantings that reflect the seasons as they evolve throughout the year. In addition to her collection, which remains displayed exactly she arranged it per her will, there are changing exhibitions, concerts, lectures, family events, and an artist-in-residence program. In 2012, the museum opened an addition designed by Renzo Piano that houses a space for their concert series.

 Tickets may be reserved in advance online at https://www.mfa.org/tickets.   A library pass will not be accepted for admission into the Museum. Patrons may use the promo code to reserve discounted admission tickets ahead of the reservation date.  Each promo code use provides up to two adults with $10 admission per person and up to four children ages 7-17  at $10 each (special exhibition only). There is no discount for children 7–17 for general admission, currently $10.  Children 6 and under are admitted free.

Founded in 1823, the New Hampshire Historical Society collects objects, books, manuscripts, and images that document New Hampshire's history. Exhibitions at their headquarters in Concord, NH contain a range of objects, photographs, and documents that illuminate the state's history, art, and culture. These include Native American artifacts; items from the Revolutionary period through the Civil War and World War II; the 1818 eagle that once sat atop the state capitol; portraits of notable New Hampshire residents such as Franklin Pierce and Daniel Webster; early furniture, silver, and other decorative arts; 19th-century White Mountain landscape paintings; and memorabilia from New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primaries. Temporary exhibitions focus on various aspects of the society's holdings. Research may be conducted in the on-site library.

All exhibits are open to the public - Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.        You must make a reservation with the Historical Society to use the  research library.

Pass provides free admission for 4 adults, children under 18 are free.  Full-time students and active military personnel and their families also are admitted free of charge with a valid ID.

The Peabody Essex Museum grew out of the collection of East India Marine Society, an organization of Salem captains whose charter called for acquisition of “natural and artificial curiosities.” Its permanent collection contains art and artifacts of Africa, Asia, India, China (with a Qing Dynasty house brought from the Huizhou region), Japan, Korea, Pacific Islands, and features objects of maritime art and history that include paintings, drawings, ship models, marine decorative arts, tools, weapons, navigational instruments, and ship and yacht plans. It also has a thriving changing exhibition schedule that sometimes includes important traveling shows.

In existence since 1882, the Portland Museum of Art has grown to house a collection of over 22,000 pieces. Its holdings include works of American, European, and contemporary art, and important pieces by Maine-associated artists such as Winslow Homer, Marsden Hartley, John Marin, Louise Nevelson, three generations of the Wyeth family, and John Greenleaf Cloudman. The major European movements from Impressionism through Surrealism are represented, with works by Mary Cassatt, Edgar Degas, René Magritte, Claude Monet, Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, and Auguste Rodin, and more. There are also important works by George Bellows, Alfred Thompson Bricher, Abraham Walkowitz, Childe Hassam, and Fitz Henry Lane. A museum store is situated on the premises.

Created in 1915 with money from a philanthropist interested in promoting history, science and the arts to her fellow Dover citizens, the eclectic Woodman Institute Museum includes a medicinal & industrial garden; the oldest Sycamore tree in Strafford County; and four historic houses filled with artifacts connected to the nation's and Dover's past: The Woodman House (1818), The Damm Garrison House (1675), The John Parker Hale House (1813), and The Keefe House (1825). Of note in the museum's collection is the saddle used by President Abraham Lincoln when he rode to review troops shortly before his assassination. Changing exhibitions of artwork at the Thom Hindle Gallery include works available for purchase.

This pass is not currently available as the Woodman Museum is closed for the season.   The museum is open seasonally from April through November.

During the season –
Pass allows 2-for-1 admission or 1/2 price for a single admission on the admission fees of $15 for adults; $10 for seniors over age 65, Adult Students, Teachers, or Military; and $7 for youth ages 4 - 17.    The last museum tour departs at 3:30pm.   You may reserve a pass up to 3 months in advance.   You must visit the library to pick up the physical pass.   Pick up passes at Adult Circulation Desk.      Please contact the library as soon as possible if you will be unable to use this pass so that someone else will have the opportunity to use it. 

The Woodman Museum is closed December through March 31.
