Dan McQueen is a long-time student of film history with a particular specialization in the classic era of film noir from the 1940s and 1950s. For 15 years, he has been studying the language of film and the evolution of motion pictures since the 1890s. He founded Shadows of Noir as a way to bring people together and honor great filmmaking of the past. Through the podcast and community speaking events, his company helps discuss the complex world of film noir and get people interested in the world of film.
