Martin Rumscheid-Extermination Through Labor: The Crime of My Father's Company in the Holocaust

Martin Rumscheidt, of Dover,  will speak about his experience as the son of a man complicit in Nazi crimes during World War II at the Dover Public Library on Tuesday May 28th at 6:30pm.

Rumscheidt's father was an employee of IG Farben, the chemical company and second largest producer in Hitler's military-industrial complex. This company is known to have used Jewish concentration camp inmates as free labor during the war. Rumscheidt is a retired minister in the United Church of Canada and he will discuss the implications in his life of his father's Nazi beliefs and shadowy history. This lecture will appeal to those interested in history and those concerned with the current rise of nationalist ideology around the globe.
