Learn 4 different Japanese side sewn bindings while you make 4 handmade books. We will use the 4 Hole Japanese Side Sewn Binding, the Noble Binding, the Hemp Leaf Binding, and the Tortoise Shell Binding. We will supply plain paper and cardstock for the covers, but you may bring fancier paper and covers if you wish. Our books will be 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" (a regular piece of paper cut in half). We will supply waxed thread in many colors for your books.

If you bring your own supplies, the inside pages should be no heavier than resume paper (20 lb), and the cover should not be heavier than cardstock.
