DPL’s latest reader’s group, the Global Poetry Society, will be dedicated to exploring poetry from around the world. Run by our volunteer Shane Morin, his goal is to help our community learn about great poets beyond the European and American classics we all read in high school. Meetings will cover poets and works from Asia, Africa, South America, Native peoples, and more.

Between sessions, registrants will be emailed a reading list of freely accessible poems posted by The Poetry Foundation, which will introduce the poets and cultures that will be discussed at the next meeting. Meetings will be every other Friday morning, from 9 AM to 10 AM, in the Lecture Hall.

This program is free and open to the public. Registration recommended. For more information, call the Library at 603-516-6050 or email Aidan at a.sonia-bolduc@dover.nh.gov.
