Growing up, many of us were taught that there are only two genders: male and female. But gender is more than the body parts someone is born with and language regarding gender is evolving.

Join Dover Public Library on Thursday, June 9 at 6:30 PM for Gender 101. A volunteer from the Affirming Spaces Project (ASP) will be giving an introduction to gender-inclusive language and speaking about their experiences as a non-binary transgender person in our community. Time will also be provided for a “Q&A”, so bring your questions!

ASP is a volunteer-based organization that offers free training and resources to local businesses and organizations who want to ensure their spaces are safe, welcoming places for customers, visitors, and employees of all genders.

This program will be presented live and in-person, but will have a virtual option for those who would prefer to watch from home. Sign up is needed to watch virtually in order to receive a link to the live stream.
