FINDING MENTAL WELLNESS:
Improving your mental wellness is internal and requires a great deal of reflection! Over 6 weeks Audrey will educate you about positive psychology, help you to gain confidence, give you grounding techniques, explain how the brain works, let you become aware of your fears and enlighten you with self-care tips and tricks. This course will be around 45 minutes and requires a notebook for light journaling. During this course we will discuss our experiences, write down our thoughts, learn through lectures and watch educational videos about the content we are learning. You may choose to listen and internally gather information for yourself. You are also welcome to share your thoughts and feelings with the group. We will be able to do this through a chat feature or by speaking out loud. The amount of participation is completely up to you. Learning about mental wellness, combined with learning about yourself, will lead to a more fulfilling and happy lifestyle.
About presenter Audrey:
Hi Everyone! My name is Audrey. I am 25 years old and recently got my master's degree in education. I am currently attending UMass Boston to receive my Education Specialist degree in school psychology. I have worked as a behavioral therapist, hospital customer service rep, counseled high schoolers and worked at elementary schools and daycares. I love kids and teaching about topics I am passionate for. Everyone has good and bad days. My goal is to educate you about mental wellness, yourself and tools that you can use when you are feeling down. Each person is different and I want to help you find what makes you happy.
